Day One- Arrival + Meet & Greet
It’s an exciting day as we all around into the Maldives from across the globe. Today we will meet in Male and transfer to our first island of adventure. Once everyone is on island we will explore the local island, get settled into our guesthouse and have our first meal together as we learn more about the group.
Day Two- Whale shark Education + Excursion
After our first night in the Maldives we are up early for a bucket list adventure, swimming with whale sharks. We will learn more about these incredible animals, including where they are found here, what makes the Maldives special for spotting them and if we are lucky, we will have our opportunity to swim with them this morning as well. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the island, visit a sandbank for some stunning photo’s from paradise or just relax in your room and unwind.
Day Three- Shipwreck + Swimming with sharks
We’ve got a big day today as we head out on a boat to one of the nearby Atolls. Trips between Atolls can be very exciting as you never know what you’ll see in these open waters, whales, dolphins, sport fish, seaplanes and other boats are all a possibility as we make our way to swim with sharks. They are very friendly, don’t worry, it’s a very special experience. After we’ve had an incredible time with the sharks we will head to another island and explore a shipwreck with some of the most coral and colourful fish that you have ever seen in your life! After our Nauti adventures we make our way home together, buzzing with the magical experiences of the morning, the afternoon and evening are yours to do as you please.
Day Four- Beach Cleanup + Traditional Cooking Class
As we are dedicated to leaving where we go, better than we find it, today we are hosting a beach cleanup for the island. Locals and tourists will be joining as we make a positive impact on the island and remove what we can from their beaches. We will discuss eco strategies and sustainable living and once we are done, take a break before a traditional cooking class - learning how to make a few of the local dishes in the Maldives and of course tasting them as well!
Day Five- Seaplane Flight + Transfer Day
Today is transfer day, we will sadly be leaving our first island home, destined for another island. We will be taking a seaplane flight over the islands to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of The Maldives from above. After transfers and boat rides we will arrive at our next island stay and settle in for the night. Today is dedicated to transfers and if we have time in the evening, we will get together on our new island beach and #nevermissasunset as a group.
Day Six- Manta Education + Excursion
We are heading out for more ocean adventures today, taking a boat ride to the world famous Hanifaru Bay, this is the best place in the entire world to swim with manta rays, and we are hoping to get lucky with them today! Manta Rays are majestic animals that are intelligent, curious and beautiful. We’ll learn about their feeding techniques, what threats they face, how we can help them and hopefully we will share the ocean with them as well.
Day Seven- Beach Cleanup + Sunset Dolphin Excursion
New island, new friends, same mission. To leave where we go, better than we found it. We will host another beach cleanup today alongside locals and tourists and compare the waste washing up here with that of our previous island. Discuss threats to The Maldives and how to live more sustainably and follow that up with a sunset cruise where we hope to spot dolphins swimming alongside our cruise!
Day Eight- Manta Rays + Traditional Maldivian Night
It’s another day in paradise and we will be exploring our local island home. Adventures on our tiny island are abundant, with white sand beaches, coral reefs teeming with life and coconut trees swaying gently overhead. We’ll be heading out again in search of Manta Rays with hopes of getting in the water with them one last time. This evening is our last together as a full group, we will share our highlights and best memories of the trip together whilst enjoying a night of traditional festivities and Maldivian activities.
Day Nine- Final Day + Departures
It’s been an incredible adventure that we’ve had. We’ve made new lifelong friends, explored incredible islands, experienced bucket list adventures and sadly it’s time for us to make moves to fly home. We will go our separate ways, but always have the memories, new friends, content and knowledge that we have accumulated over this incredible expedition.
